Adam MadoreHello everyone I'm the owner and trainer of Artisan Dog Training. My first significant experience with dogs happened when I was 8 yrs old. I was bitten by a beagle in the front yard of our home (I know ,of all the dogs to get nipped by). I wear the scar today on the side of my face and it has always been an experience that would follow me. Although he had bitten me I never blamed the dog and I was fascinated by them since that day.
I kept my affinity for dogs through thick and thin and when I grew up I immediately wanted a dog and started researching the one for me. That's when I decided to rescue my first dog Appollo a German shepherd/lab mix. When I thought about getting a dog I went back to dog training tips I had learned in the past as well as what I could find online. I first noticed that there were so many different styles of training and levels. I was overwhelmed by the contradictory advice as well as amateurs that were weighing in. I researched dog trainers in my area when Appollo started having some trouble with his socializing which led me to Animal Resorts and Training Center and the master trainer David Harris . I trained under David ,who has a science based approach to training for around two years and still stay close to him and his family. I fell in love with dog training and haven't looked back. I continue to give back to my community by volunteering for charity auctions, dog training, and rescues as well as shelters. |
My dog family
Hexe Von Prufenpuden
Hexe is a pure bred German Shepherd her mom (Dam) is Kentucky Silka and her dad (Sire) is Cupid Von Prufenpuden. Her Grandpa is Kobe Von Prufenpuden She comes from strong working dog bloodlines and she is my constant companion.
Hexe achieved her AKC Companion Dog title on her first try and with no errors ultimately placing 2nd 2nd and 1st in the competition. I got Hexe from David Harris from Protection dog sales and she has exceeded even my highest expectations. She has been a wonderful companion and a great friend. I have had a few dogs in my life but every day she gets up and goes to work and tries as hard as she can. You can't ask for a better dog. You can always come by and meet Hexe and Bacchus or Perro here at Artisan Dog Training any time you like. |
Bacchus Madore

Bacchus is a rescue from a nice guy in Georgetown Ky. Unfortunately he had to move to a smaller home and felt Bacchus wouldn't have enough room to be comfortable. I've had Bacchus since he was 1 and he has become a full member of the family.
Bacchus goes with me to festivals and very packed gatherings. He's comfortable weaving in and out of thick crowds and loves to soak up the atmosphere.

Perro the Great
Perro was rescued from the Humane society and rehomed with one of my previous clients. She said that he was not going to work out because he had bit some people and she was going to have to return him to the shelter. I took him and he has been great ever since. He is now a wonderful pup who loves meeting people.
